75th season of NASCAR 2023
The NASCAR 2023 Cup Series is the 75th season for NASCAR professional stock car racing in the United States and the 52nd season for the modern-era Cup Series. The season started with the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on February 5. That race was followed by the Daytona Duel qualifying races and the 65th running of the Daytona 500 (the first points race of the season) on February 19, both at Daytona International Speedway. The season will end with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway on November 5.
Key drivers to watch in the NASCAR 2023 Cup Series:
- Kyle Larson: Larson is the defending champion and is looking to win back-to-back titles. He is one of the most talented drivers in the series and has a lot of momentum heading into the 2023 season.
- Chase Elliott: Elliott is the most popular driver in NASCAR and is always a contender for wins. He is coming off a strong 2022 season in which he won nine races.
- Martin Truex Jr.: Truex is a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and is always a threat to win. He is coming off a disappointing 2022 season in which he only won two races.
- Kevin Harvick: Harvick is a veteran driver who has won 58 races in his career. He is coming off a solid 2022 season in which he won four races.
- Joey Logano: Logano is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and is always a threat to win. He is coming off a strong 2022 season in which he won five races.
