The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua and premiered exclusively in US and UK movie theaters on September 1, 2023.
The cast includes Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, Dakota Fanning as Emma Collins-Plummer, Eugenio Mastrandrea as Gio Bonucci, David Denman as Frank Conroy, and Sonia Ben Ammar as Chiara Bonucci.
The official synopsis for “The Equalizer 3” reads: “Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia“.
The movie has received mixed reviews. The Guardian called it a “Business as usual” while What to Watch praised Washington’s performance and the reunion between him and Dakota Fanning.
