Jawan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film co-written and directed by Atlee, in his first Hindi film.
The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (billed as a special appearance), Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra, with cameo appearances from Vijay and Sanjay Dutt.
The plot of the movie revolves around Vikram Rathore, a former commando who now pulls off heists around the country with a team of six women. One day, they hijack the Mumbai Metro. In a parallel story, Vikram soon learns that his long-lost son, Azaad Rathore, is a police officer and is being targeted by the fourth biggest weapons dealer in the world and his former nemesis, Kalee.
He sets out to right his wrongs by destroying Kalee once and for all while also making the government meet his demands.
